Mid-Morning Fizz

Gin

Ingredients
1.75oz Gin (Beefeater)
1oz Lemon juice
.75oz Simple syrup
.5oz Green Chartreuse
1oz Soda Water (or club soda)
5 Drops Fee Brothers Orange Blossom Water
Egg white

Orange slice garnish

This fizz is an excellent use of Green Chartreuse and one of the few times I have got to use orange blossom water. This recipe is by Jason Kosmas and Dushan Zaric and is now a staple for us. Very grateful that they shared this amazing fizz.

This drink is vibrant, bright, and the chartreuse gives the drink a deeper layer of spice than a more classic fizz. The orange blossom water also adds a very fresh aroma that makes this a fun and uplifting drink.

There are several steps you want to make sure you don’t skip before attempting. The chilling of the glass and contents at the beginning that goes a long way to have this drink turn out right. I have skipped those extra steps before and the drink did not have the same magic sparkle.

Recipe
1. Pour gin, green chartreuse, large shaped ice, and soda water into glass and place in the freezer.
2. Add lemon juice, simple syrup, orange blossom water, and egg white to shaker and dry shake for 10 seconds.
3. Shake contents till chilled.
4. Remove glass from freezer and strain shaker contents over chilled glass and ice.
5. Garnish with half of an orange slice.

Notes:
For a little extra 1%… Add the orange blossom water to an atomizer and spray over foam right before serving to add a pleasant orange aroma.
